Goal-based organizational modeling oriented towards late requirements generation using the Tropos Framework

چکیده
Recently, a lot of research efforts in software engineering have focused on integrating organizational modeling as a key piece in requirements engineering. In these research works, the business models are proposed as the source of the software requirements specification process. However, the majority of these works focus only on the definition of notations that permit the representation of the semantics of the organizational context, and only a few works define processes that use these notations in a methodological way. This lack of a methodological process for generating organizational models makes practical application in software development enterprises difficult. The objective of this paper is to present a goalbased method to generate organizational models represented in the Tropos framework. These models are later used as starting point of the requirements specification process of the information system. This will enable us to develop information systems that integrate the necessary functionality so that the organizational actors perform their tasks and fulfill their goals.

Towards Requirements-Driven Information Systems Engineering
Information systems of the future will have to better match their operational organizational environment. Unfortunately, development methodologies have traditionally been inspired by programming concepts, not organizational ones, leading to a semantic gap between the system and its environment. To reduce as much as possible this gap, this paper proposes a development methodology named Tropos wh...

متن کاملFrom Early Requirements to Late Requirements: A goal-based approach1
At present, the software engineering community places emphasis on the relevance of understanding the organizational context before starting the development of an information system. In this context, several research works focus on proposing mechanisms to generate information systems from early requirements specifications in an agent-based approach. However, only a few research works offer a gui...
متن کاملUML for Agent-Oriented Software Development: The Tropos Proposal
We describe a software development methodology called Tropos for agent-oriented software systems. The methodology adopts the i* modeling framework [29], which offers the notions of actor, goal and (actor) dependency, and uses these as a foundation to model early and late requirements, architectural and detailed design. The paper outlines the methodology, and shows how the concepts of Tropos can...
